EditIs Blogiful an email replacement?
Blogiful is not entirely a replacement for email, but it does allow users to communicate like email. The major difference between Blogiful and email is that there is no SPAM. Only your friends can send you items that they think are blogiful. If you don't like what others are sending your, you can block that user from sending you messages.

EditI forgot my username and/or password?
There are two ways to retrieve your username or password. When you are logged out, you can go to the blogiful home page located at here and click on the links in the signon box. If you are logged in you can go to the settings tab and select "change password". Once a username is selected, it can not be changed.

EditWhat is an avatar?
An avatar is an image that you can assign to yourself. Its a picture that allows others to identify you by an image. Avatars must be smaller than 48 pixels wide by 48 pixels high. Please try to select a square image so that the image can be reduced in size, depending on the screen.

Either on the main dashboard or the settings tab you can click on the change avatar link. Once selected you must browser you local hard drive for an image that you want uploaded. Once you have selected one, click upload to assign it as your avatar.

EditWhat is an Aggregator?
An aggregator is a software program that runs on your computer. Aggregators allow you to subscribe to RSS Feeds. Aggregators pull this feed depending on how often you selected the feed to be retrieved. The items that are returned are then displayed to the user to be read, saved and deleted. With Blogiful, you can reply to any feed inside of an aggregator using our aggregator plugins.

EditWhat is my private feed?
Your Private feed is the link you put into your aggregator to pull your messages. Once setup, only you can pull from this feed. Blogiful uses username/password to authenicate your feed as well as SSL (secure sockets layer) to encrypt your information. Using this technology, only you can read your messages.

Blogiful feeds are secured by SSL and username/password authenication. When a feed is pulled from blogiful.com all the data is encryped. Posting to the server is also secure from our aggregator plugins by default. Then only time when information may not be secure is if you login without clicking the secure link on the home page.

To setup Rss Bandit, follow these instructions:
- On the Settings page, copy the feed url by highlighing it and selecting copy.
- Inside Rss Bandit select "New Feed Subscription".
- Make sure you uncheck "Auto discover and verify the feed".
- Assign the feed a Title.
- Enter your Blogiful username and password.
- Click Finish to retrive your messages.

- Install the plugin files to the plugin directory under when you instaled Rss Bandit.
- Restart Rss Bandit for the for the plugin to be usable.
- Right clicking on any message and selecting "This is Blogiful" will allow you to send a message to any of your friends.

To setup JetBrains Omea Reader?, follow these instructions:

- Enter your Blogiful username and password.
- Click Next.

To setup JetBrains Omea Reader Blogiful Plugin?, follow these instructions:
- Install the plugin files to the directory that Omea Reader is installed in.
- Go to Tools - Options, then select Omea - Plugins and click Add.
- Browse to where the Blogiful Plugin was installed and select Blogiful.Aggregator.OmeaPlugin.dll.
- Omea Reader will have to restart for the plugin to be usable.
- Right clicking on any message and selecting "This is Blogiful" will allow you to send a message to any of your friends.

EditCan I use Google's or Yahoo's Online Aggregator?
At this time, Google's and Yahoo's Online RSS Aggregator does not support username/password authentication. Until these vendors support authentication, they may not be used to retrieve your messages.

EditUsing the Plugin?
Once you have successfully installed the plugin, you can send any message to your friends. To verify the plugin is installed correctly follow these instructions:
- Right click on any item and you should see a menu item saying "This is Blogiful"
- Click this link to post a message.
- The first time it may say that your credentials are incorrect, click on the configure button and put in your Blogiful username/password.
- If you are behind a firewall, you may need to enter the proxy server name, port and username/password for the proxy server. This username/password is different than your Blogiful username/password.
- When you are complete click Apply.
- Click Refresh Friends to update your friends. Initially, retrieving your friends may take a few seconds.
- You can then edit the message or add to the message by typing in the box provided.
- Make sure you give the message a title.
- Click send and the message will be sent.
- Click Refresh Friends to update your friends.
